Canadian Blood Services has hundreds of laptops running in their mobile blood donation vehicles. These laptops were becoming expensive to maintain and upgrade as they were running different versions of hardware and software. Additionally, the requirement to constantly certify a new configuration with Health Canada to adhere to health care regulations was a drain on resources. In order to employ a scalable, efficient laptop deployment and management solution, Canadian Blood Services looked to VMware ACE and are now able to streamline the regulatory compliance while rapidly deploying new machines to the field.
David Zavitske, IT Technical Support for Canadian Blood Services will describe his first hand experience with implementing VMware ACE.
